Week 11. Catkins of Spring

Not a great week for photography. Many other things to attend to. But I got some time on Friday to test my lastest lens acquisition, a Minolta AF f2.8/100m Macro. A lens from the late 80’s that still holds up very well.

A beautiful day with clear skies I was trying to find early signs of spring. I mainly took macro shots of flowers but when I got home I found this more distanced one of hazel catkins sort of intriguing, with an interesting motion and bokeh.
Spring is here at last.

This post is part of my project to publish my favorite new image every week during 2017. Shot in the previous week.
Hopefully will this be an inspiration to get out and shot and to bring the camera with me wherever I go.

Previous week: Week 10. Days are getting longer
Next week: Week 12. Sunset in the archipelago
